Cybersecurity Project Director | Cybersecurity Adjunct Professor
Stephen Foster, MS-IA, (CISSP), a U.S. Navy Vet,previously enjoyed a distinguished 20-year career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, retiring in 2000 as a Special Agent Supervisor, who specialized in Counter Espionage, Counter Terrorism as well as Cyber Operations.
During the time-period (2000 –2008), Mr.Foster founded a private consulting company, which provided Cybersecurity consulting services to Fortune 500 corporations. As part of those services, Mr. Foster was the featured “Keynote Speaker”for the IBM Cybersecurity Road Shows in 2005 –2006, which were held in major cities throughout the USA and Canada. He is also a contributing co-author to the “Black Book on Corporate Security,” which is still in print today.
Mr. Foster’s last major Industry position was in 2008 as Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer (VP-CISO) for NYFIXa Wall Street financial services firm located in lower Manhattan, NY.
In Nov. 2011, Prof. Foster became the first TNCC Cybersecurity Project Director and since that,time has assisted the school in achieving the prestigious Cybersecurity Center of Academic Excellence Certification (CAE2y), which is awarded by the NSA and DHS. He also manages the TNCC Regional Cybersecurity Conference held every October and is a Cybersecurity Adjunct Professor.
Prof.Foster is truly one of the few Cybersecurity Professionals today that has working experience across all major domains of our Nations Critical Digital Infrastructure to include the Military, Government, Private Industry, as well as Academia.
